ISUR Scholars Naveen Nagarajan and Mateusz Lopez co-investigate Optically Transparent Thermally Insulating Silica Aerogels for Solar Thermal Insulation

Former ISUR Scholars, Naveen Nagarajan (MechSE ’17) and Mateusz Lopez (NPRE ’18), were listed as co-authors for the article Optically Transparent Thermally Insulating Silica Aerogels for Solar Thermal Insulation. The article was published in March 2018 in the American Chemical Society Applied Materials and Interfaces Journal.

Naveen and Mateusz were both ISUR Scholars during the 2016-2017 school year and were mentored by Alperen Günay (first author) in Professor Miljkovic’s Energy Transport Research Lab.

Naveen is currently working as an Associate Engineer at Peoples Gas. This year Matuesz served as assistant to Dr. Mamaril, ISUR program director and coordinator for undergraduate research, in various undergraduate research-related events and activities.
