Engineering Undergraduate Research at The Grainger College of Engineering aims to provide undergraduate students with transformative learning experiences through research opportunities. Our goal is to engage our students and the research community in interdisciplinary/multidisciplinary research to contribute to STEM workforce development. With renowned experts in science and engineering fields and 60+ state-of-the-art centers, labs, and institutes, the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign is the ideal place to develop future scientists and engineers.

Aligned with the College’s vision to deliver an elite engineering education to students, we support Grainger Engineering students in the following ways –

  • Enhancing world-class engineering education with research experiences that prepare students to take on the world’s challenges and contribute to the betterment of society

$2500 Per Event – EVENT SPONSORSHIP includes sponsor name and logo in advertisement and promotional materials

Connect with Grainger Engineering student population

  • Research Seminar – monthly seminars for students to learn about various science and engineering research, innovations, and technologies
  • Research Fair – held each semester to showcase student research and to promote research and undergraduate opportunities
  • Research Expo – poster session for undergraduate researchers in the Grainger College of Engineering programs

$3000 – PROGRAM SPONSORSHIP includes one (1) named-research scholarship, mentor award, sponsor exclusive event (e.g., Meet and Greet), sponsor recognition

Contribute to the Development of a skilled STEM Workforce

  • Named-Research scholarship(s) – support undergraduate scholar(s) and build a recruitment pool of future employees who have rigorous academic training and research experience
  • Research Mentor Award – offer mentors financial support to help defray the cost of undergraduate researcher’s project or for mentor’s professional development
  • Meet and Greet – introduce program participants (undergraduate and graduate student mentors) to sponsors
  • ISUR Research Expo and Banquet – show sponsor’s efforts in building goodwill within the education community and contributing to future workforce
