From being an undergraduate researcher in The Kieffer Lab to her time in Boston Massachusetts as a research intern in the Joslin Diabetes Center, Jiho keeps overcoming challenges and progressing towards her goals. She has gained valuable experiences to connect physics and engineering research to clinical applications. She also served as an undergraduate teaching assistant for college physics and chemistry courses and is a trained emergency medical technician at the Illinois Fire Service Institute. Not only is she engaged in developing her skills, Jiho also volunteers in the community through the National Court Appointed Specialist Advocate (CASA) Association and Jubilee Café at the Community United Church of Christ. Her volunteer work is focused on the interests and rights of abused/neglected children and helping serve meals to the homeless. Jiho, is an extremely diligent and motivated student, a promising scholar, and a servant to her community.
